MamboSteunPunt funds projects in and around Mambo, in healthcare, education, infrastructure and entrepreneurship. MsP has various local partners on the ground and is monitoring the results. Below find an overview of the main activities from 2009.

Animal health (March21) Over 200 dogs were vaccinated for Rabies in Mtae

Televet (Feb21) The televet program started. A goat was treated with assistance from 2 Irish VET’s

Carpentry (Jan21) Assistance is given to organize a carpentry for drop-outs in Mkuzi.

Entrepreneurs (Dec20) Entrepreneur classes for women

Computers (feb-Dec20) Thanks to various volunteers another 8 computers came in and the IT got organized!

Education (Dec20 from 2009) Another 2 students finished the secondary school

Water (Nov20) We organized a tele-water conference aiming to improve the access to clean drinking water for 50,000 people in Mtae division

Agriculture (Nov20) A new company is established with the aim to improve agriculture and income

MWUA project (Mtae Water Users Association) (April 20); water samples form sources around Mambo.

On-line education (Oct20) Abdul presented the results from his on-line hotel management course.

Trees (Oct20) Inaguration of the reforstation project in Sunga

Push&Pull (Oct20) Martin boosted the Push&pull project and introduced Oliver

TBA (Oct20) Doula’s trained by Margaret, Tanzanian midwife in Masereka.

Healthcare (Sep20) The first 25 Lifwraps (NASG-Non-Pneumatic-Anti-Shock-Garment) arrived. They will avoid maternal death due to excessive blood loss.

Computers (sep20) 4 new computers arrived for the computer classes

Englishclasses (Aug20) English classes for drop-outs

EDUCATION (20) Thanks to a British donor mattresses and blankets were donated to Sunga secondary school so a group of girls can attend the boarding school.

TBA (Jan2020) Doula training in Sunga for 9 TBA’s by local midwife Margaret from Masereka.

ExchangeProgram: (Sept19) 16 girls started training for English and computer use to be able to exchange with 16 girls from the UK.

Happy Cows Happy Farmers (Sept 2019) our 5 auxiliary officers offered training about pan in Tema.

Water (Sep19) :MsP joined the water conference for a better water supply of the Shagayu basin

Education for girls (Aug19): 50 primary school girls got each 5 washable hygiene pads and a lecture.

Reforestation (Aug19) 100 Mshai seedlings a natural spies from our trees nursery were planted

Education (Sep19) : Tablet classes continued in the school holidays

Education for girls (Aug19): 50 primary school girls got each 5 washable hygiene pads and a lecture.

Animal health (July19) over 200 dogs got vaccines by our team led by Linda and the local vets.

Water (Jun19): Water project meeting in Tema attended by about 75 villagers. The meeting was under water engineer Niek and Hoza together with the local government representative Mr. Justin who is also livestock officer

Education: (Feb19) New Tablet classes are started. Around 40 kids are joining every Saturday and Sunday

EDUCATION (jan-Dec19): New classroom in Nkukai.

Entrepreneurship ( Jan19) MamMee yoghurt group with a micro loan and signboards for the new restaurant in Mambo center.

Agriculture (Oct18): 44 farmers, 50% men and 50% women joined the new Push&Pull program.

Education (Oct18..current) New computer classes during holidays for secondary school students

Education (Aug18) : A new entrepreneur class started in Tema

HappyCowsHappyFarmers (July17): We were happy to have Linda and Owen, Veterinarians from Ireland who did a vaccination program for the cows, sheep, goats and dogs. 3 Auxiliary officers and our manager got an additional course in cattle keeping. They will continue to visit the farmers to advise how to improve.

Education (Jun18) With help of a MamboViewPoint guest Another classroom is made nice and attractive. This time in Mtae.

ChildCircus (Dec17) First performance of the Mambo Child circus in the new MamboViewPoint Open air Theatre!

TBA (2017) Graduation of a new group of TBA’s.. At the same time 3 Tanzanian midwifes are trained for trainer by Liesbeth Heerink.

Entrepreneurs (Aug17): The first 10 entrepreneurs started an entrepreneurs training. The main goal is to promote small scale business groups

Education: (Jul16) Start of the tablet classes

Healthcare (Febr16) These 15 TBAs (Traditional Birth Attendants) are trained by the Dutch midwife Sanne Olofsen to become Doula.

SPORTS; (2016): Establishment of a nice football field

AnimalHealth (Sep15): Dog party @ MamboViewPoint! Our Veterinarian team under leadership of from Linda vaccinated over 200 dogs against Rabies in the 8 villages around Mambo.
